Learn more about the lives of fishermen, pearl divers, traders and sailors as well as how the sea influenced life on land at the hestoric Al Shindagha neighbourhoud and continues to do so today.

Learn how to design your own jewellery, inspired by traditional pieces, and make your own to take home.

Boat Tinkering Challenge
Using traditional materials in boat making,young children and adult participants will experiment by creating a cargo vessel that can hold the maximum amount of pearls or coins.
The owner of the boat with the highest buoyancy (float time) recorded will win a family museum entry ticket (2 adults + 2 children). Speak to our Cultural Guide to participate.

Join the live demonstration with one of the skilled artisans who craft important components of the boat. Understand the techniques behind them as they share their expertise, revealing the intricate details of traditional rope made of palm tree fibres
